The Vatsalya Family
A typical family in Vatsalya Gram consists of seven children. Ideally, each family is consists of five girls and two boys, with a loving mother, an aunt (mausi) and a grand mother (nani). The ties within the family are based on love, respect and warmth – like any typical family outside the confines of Vatsalya Gram. Care is taken to provide a nurturing and healthy environment for children to grow.In each family at Vatsalya Gram, the traditional culture and rituals of a household are followed. Respect is given to the values of the Indian culture and children are given opportunities to grow into intelligent and sensitive adults who can excel in their life, while still cherishing the warmth of relationships and the nurturing traditions of the Indian culture. Each child is allowed an opportunity to wake up by a motherly touch on the forehead. The day of the children is bound by the routine of school, homework, play and other things that one is used to doing in a family outside Vatsalya Gram.
Under the loving shelter of Pujya Didi Maa, these children can sure hope to excel in their lives and become responsible citizens of a developed nation.
