Conservation of the cows in India goes back to the mythology. The non- believers ridicule Indians for worshipping cows, little they know that this is the only animal that gives away its entire life-cycle for supporting mankind. In India we are severely dependent on cows. Then why not preserve them even with certain selfish interests. Let us not talk much about religious beliefs, etc. but think about the milk, the bullock carts and the ploughs. Will it be wrong to call this animal as the mother, which sustains life for us.
